Learn the fine art of harmonising tastes and textures in the utter luxury of the new One&Only Reethi Rah culinary school in Maldives. Under the expert tutelage of master chefs, guests will learn the delicate nuances of food presentation and world cuisine.
Classes will be available in a range of culinary styles from around the world such as Maldivian, Chinese, Italian, Indian, Arabian, Japanese ‘Washoku’, Thai cuisine or French desserts and pastries. The experience starts with a guided visit to the chef’s garden where the culinary team will demonstrate how to select the finest and freshest products while guests hand pick organic ingredients for their chosen course. Upon return to the culinary school, One&Only Reethi Rah’s master chef will guide pupils through an epicurean selection of the finest cooking products and condiments from around the world including wines, vinegars, oils and olives. Then guests can prepare exquisite dishes with expert guidance and enjoy their own creations in a sumptuous lunch. They leave the course with a certificate, recipe card and their very own One&Only Reethi Rah apron and chef’s cap. Courses cost run daily for between two to four people and cost $180* USD.
One&Only Reethi Rah is a sleek all-villa resort set along six kilometers of private beach offering intimate accommodation in luxurious beach and water villas. In addition to the culinary classes, gourmands can enjoy a choice of cuisine from three restaurants, or in the privacy of their own villa. Stunning sunset dining is available at Tapasake, an over-water restaurant serving Indian-Japanese fusion food with an extensive list of premium Sakes and the Rah Bar is ideal for after-dinner cocktails.
Guest wishing to unwind after their efforts can also take advantage of bespoke Ayurvedic spa treatments in a private over-water suite for two, appreciate the full menu at the spa or participate in the wide range of more active pursuits available. One&Only Reethi Rah boasts the only PADI National Geographic Dive Centre in the Maldives, and other activities include sea plane excursions, dolphin safaris, a game of Pétanque or access to the tennis courts.
