Disney Magic will sail to Invergordon

Whilst thousands of people visit Invergordon each year, 2016 will see a somewhat more unusual group of tourists arrive in the Highland port, bringing with them a little bit of magic and excitement. Disney announces that the Port of Cromarty Firth has been identified as a key destination for the company’s first ever cruise tour of the British Isles in 2016.
Disney Magic will sail to Invergordon as part of its inaugural 12-night cruise, which will get underway in June next year – the 12 month countdown is on.
Bob Buskie, Chief Executive of Port of Cromarty Firth, welcomed the news. He said: “This is very exciting and we’re delighted to have been selected as one of the destinations by Disney for their first ever round Britain tour.
“It is testament to Cruise Highlands, the Port and its facilities as well as to the broad range of outdoor, leisure and retail opportunities we can offer those visiting the area along with the stunning scenery and friendly welcome.
“Most of us grew up with Disney and will likely have a favourite out of their wide array of wonderful characters. This visit will certainly bring a smile to many faces, young and old, including mine.”
Disney Magic is also scheduled to make a return visit to Invergordon on a different itinerary in July 2016.
The 2015 cruise season is set to be the biggest ever for the port, with more visitors than ever anticipated over before anticipated over the summer months. As a result, the local economy will be boosted by more than £10million.
