Delta will be offering customers flying from Istanbul’s Ataturk International Airport smoother transfers to a number of U.S. destinations this summer via its hub at the newly extended Terminal 4 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. The daily service, which operates during the summer season beginning this month, will use a Wi-Fi equipped Airbus A330-300 aircraft, meaning passengers can stay connected at 30,000 feet.
Customers connecting to destinations including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and Orlando will benefit from same-terminal transfers thanks to the new $175 million extension of Delta’s Terminal 4 at New York-JFK. Plus, customers with onward flights will be able to get online throughout their journeys as Delta offers more in-flight Wi-Fi than any other carrier, with access to the service on all two-class domestic aircraft.
“We are the only U.S. airline operating between North America and Turkey this summer and will offer more than 4,100 weekly seats between Istanbul and New York,” said Perry Cantarutti, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Around 40% of our passengers connect to other U.S. cities via JFK and we’re delighted to offer smoother transfers and a better travel experience, including access to the Internet at 30,000 feet.”

International passengers flying in Delta’s business class cabin, Delta One, enjoy a full range of premium products for a comfortable, relaxed, and productive in-flight experience. Customers flying in Delta Comfort+, Delta’s premium economy service, benefit from up to four additional inches of legroom and 50 percent more recline than Delta’s standard international Main Cabin seats, as well as priority boarding. Other product initiatives being rolled out across Delta’s international fleet include the expansion of Wi-Fi service.
