Book early and save on your Whistler summer vacation

Locals and visitors alike have been delighting in the sunshine and warmth with this year’s early arrival of summer weather; extending many of Whistler’s iconic summer offerings, including, but not limited to, premier golf courses and a myriad of hiking and biking trails. Whistler’s renowned lakes and beaches offer an exquisite and picturesque experience, as well as a refreshing sanctuary from the summertime warmth. The resort boasts hiking trials of varying degrees of difficulty, from easy, stroller-friendly trails around Lost Lake, to full day/over-night treks including Garibaldi Lake, Black Tusk and Wedgemount Lake Trail. The Whistler Children’s Festival, a favourite among locals and visitors alike, returns July 10-12. The festival kicks off with a shimmy and a shake on Friday, July 10 with a free, all-ages dance party (BYO dance shoes) from 5- 8 p.m.  Saturday and Sunday (July 11 and 12) the festival launches into overdrive at Whistler Olympic Plaza with face painting, origami crafts, roving children’s characters, magic shows, balloon artistry, live performances and more. The cost of entrance is $5 for kids and $10 for adults and free for children under the age of 2. The festival is an annual family fun event in Whistler, which hosts a number of additional paid workshops, including soapstone carving, dreamcatcher crafting as well as a beading bonanza.
