The Whistler Children’s Festival, a favourite among locals and visitors alike, returns July 10-12. The festival kicks off with a shimmy and a shake on Friday, July 10 with a free, all-ages dance party (BYO dance shoes) from 5- 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (July 11 and 12) the festival launches into overdrive at Whistler Olympic Plaza with face painting, origami crafts, roving children’s characters, magic shows, balloon artistry, live performances and more. The cost of entrance is $5 for kids and $10 for adults and free for children under the age of 2. The festival is an annual family fun event in Whistler, which hosts a number of additional paid workshops, including soapstone carving, dreamcatcher crafting as well as a beading bonanza.
