TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel website, has officially introduced to the Turkish market its own restaurant discovery and reservation brand, TheFork. TheFork, which is one of the leading international restaurant reservations websites, currently operates in 11 countries, including Turkey where the Istanbul-based Turkish team continues to add new partners to a network of more than 20,000 bookable restaurants across Europe.
The Turkish platform can be reached at thefork.com.tr and with TheFork app for iOS and Android. It aims to revolutionize the local restaurant industry by offering Turkish diners an easy-to-use reservation system, and helping business owners maximize their profits through management software solutions.
”The thriving Turkish restaurant industry and potential consumer opportunity influenced TripAdvisor’s decision to launch TheFork within the local market. By introducing our platform to a country of such rich dining culture and booming restaurant scene, we are excited about investing and growing our operation in Turkey.” said Bertrand Jelensperger, company CEO.
“The business of dining out in Turkey has the potential of reaching international standards in no time, but the only way to achieve this is through progress and innovation. A food-savvy customer is the ultimate driver behind a diverse restaurant scene and a rich gastronomic offering, therefore at TheFork we always put the food experience first. We look to inspire diners, be more curious about new places and go beyond what they already know,” TheFork Turkey Country Manager, Yaz Yazicioglu, said at the press conference.
