Mossel Bay Tourism has invited members of the general public – and people who own or work in travel, attractions or hospitality business – to attend the demonstrations, discussions, and exhibitions during this year’s Travel Mossel Bay!
The festival – which celebrates tourism in the Garden Route and Klein Karoo in general, and in Mossel Bay in particular – will run from the 29th to the 31st of May this year.
Mossel Bay Tourism’s Marcia Holm said that this year’s event will be attended by 46 hosted buyers from Cape Town.
“The buyers are all tour operators and travel agents, and they’ll be here to learn about our tourism offering, and to meet local product owners,” she said.
“The group will travel here by luxury coach on Thursday – with stops along the way to, meet with the tourism manager for the Hessequa region Guillaume Marais amongst others – and they’ll spend Friday touring Mossel Bay from east to west in order to familiarise themselves with the area.
“Then on Saturday they’ll spend most of the day at Mossel Bay Tourism’s Mini Indaba – which will include exhibitions and a speed-marketing session during which they’ll be actively looking for opportunities and new products for their itineraries.”
