ITALY - ICS Italy Chauffeur Service, a leading limousine and tour company based in Florence, Italy, announced that it has purchased a new Mercedes Benz Sprinter. The 8-passenger, long-wheelbase vehicle will provide comfortable travel for extended families and small groups.
The luxurious ICS Sprinter is equipped with a refrigerator, an electric sliding door and leather reclining seats with lots of legroom. Built on the same body as the Mercedes 16-seat minibus, it can fit up to 24 pieces of luggage.
The advantage to using an 8-seat vehicle is that, per Italian traffic law, it is considered equivalent to a taxi or smaller limo service car. Therefore, it can enter the restricted areas of city centers throughout Italy, reducing the walk time required to get from the pick-up/drop-off point to the city center and vice versa. This feature is particularly important when visiting cities such as Siena, Florence or Pisa, where centers are not accessible to 16-seat vehicles while remaining open to 8-seaters.
The new Sprinter also maintains a competitive edge over 16-seat buses as it is not subject to pay city permits ranging from 100-150 Euros per city.
Beyond the new Sprinter, ICS's fleet contains one MB new S-class sedan, one MB GL-Class luxury SUV, one regular-sized 8-passenger MB Sprinter, two MB E-Class sedans and four 7-passenger MB minivan (three Vianos and one new V-Class).
