As the wedding season starts in Turkey, country’s leading travel booking website, tatilsepeti.com reveals details of its latest study; preferred honeymoon destinations of newlyweds. According to the results for this year differ from last year, couples prefer tranquil and exotic destinations rather than popular holiday spots.
Tranquil destinations in Turkey such as Fethiye, Sarıgerme and Bozcaada and international destinations such as Seychelles, Phuket and Cuba are among the most popular destinations for couples this year. However the research says that popular holiday spots in Turkey; Bodrum, Marmaris and Kemer are also popular as honeymoon destinations.
Tatilsepeti.com General Manager Koray Küçükyıldız said that their customers who book their honeymoon trip prefer 6-7 days in trips to Turkish destinations and 8 to 10 days for international tours. He added that newlyweds pay around 1200 Turkish lira for 5 nights honeymoon bookings and a 7-day package tour to international destinations cost between 2500 and 5500 TL. As the Ramadan sets in the mid-Summer season, hotels and tours book earlier therefore it is advised for couples to make their bookings earlier than they planned.
