Allegiant recently launches its first flights out of Omaha with new, nonstop jet service to Tampa Bay via St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport. To celebrate the start of the new service, Omaha’s only nonstop travel option to the Tampa Bay area, the company is offering fares as low as $104* one way.
“We’re very excited to be starting our flights in Omaha, and right on the heels of announcing a new route to Oakland last week,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant Travel Company senior vice president of planning. “This service will now provide people an affordable opportunity to vacation in the Tampa Bay area and the convenience of traveling nonstop.”
The new service operates twice weekly between Eppley Airfield (OMA) and St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE). Omaha travelers can save even more when they book air, hotel, car, and attraction reservations together through Allegiant. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at Allegiant.
“Local travelers have been asking for more service to Florida,” said Chris Martin, director of airline affairs and airport operations with the Omaha Airport Authority. “Today’s launch of Allegiant’s new nonstop service to St. Petersburg makes it even easier for families to access some the best beaches and tourist attractions in Florida.”
With an average 361 days of sunshine each year, the Tampa Bay and St. Pete-Clearwater areas are the perfect escape for Omaha travelers. Allegiant partners with more than 20 of the area’s most popular hotel properties, provides low-cost car rental service through its partnership with Alamo Rent a Car and offers great deals on local activities. Omaha travelers can book their entire Tampa Bay vacation for less by visiting Allegiant.
Allegiant offers a unique travel option to the Omaha community. Focusing on low-cost leisure travel, the company provides customers with low base fares averaging nearly half of the cost of the average domestic round-trip fare. The innovative business model has allowed the company to grow from one aircraft and one route just over a decade ago, to providing convenient, affordable service in over 100 communities nationwide.
