
The 10th edition of the International Istanbul Tulip Festival organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Parks and Gardens Directorate is taking place from April 11 to May 3, 2015. At the 10th edition of the festival, Emirgan Woods and Göztepe 60th Year Park will host several events. The opening ceremony of the festival will take place in Emirgan Woods, a historic urban park located in one of Istanbul’s finest neighborhoods, along the Bosporus on the European side on April 11th, 2015.
Especially Woods and Bulbous Plants Park in last year, more than 8 million tulips are planted in the central areas of Istanbul that has made positive effects in many parts of Istanbul.
86 different kinds of 1 million 379 thousand tulips are planted in the Gülhane Park
192 different kinds of 2 million 800 thousand tulips are planted in the Emirgab Woods. You can be able to see all kinds of tulips here.
Yıldız woods have 32 different kinds of 730 thousand tulips.
167 different kinds of 550 thousand tulips are planted in the Seven Towers Bulbous Plants Park
8 different kinds of 92.720 tulips are planted in Beykoz Woods
161 different kinds of 1 million 187.5 thousand tulips are planted in Göztepe 60th Year Park.
16 different kinds of 524 thousand and 350 tulips are planted in the Büyük Çamlıca Woods
25 different kinds of 571 thousand and 250 tulips are planted in the Küçük Çamlıca Korusu.
12 different kinds of 284 thousand and 408 tulips are planted in the Fethipaşa Woods
Hıdiv Çubuklu Woods has 8 different kinds of 294.200 tulips.
The early species of these types of tulips starting to bloom up in mid-March, are follow to bloom up by normal types of tulips in the month of April and the late blooming types of tulips in May and the people of Istanbul will have such as a visual feast for their eyes with tulips and hyacinths, narcissus and other bulbous plants during the two months of tulip season. Thus, while the city of Istanbul and the people of Istanbul meet their tulips such as Emirgan Woods, Hidiv Woods, Gülhane Park, Bulbous Plants Park, Vatan Street will burst into riot of colors for two months of period.
