
Dutch low cost airline Transavia offers charter flights and scheduled flights to summer and winter holiday destinations around Europe and to the Mediterranean. As of 1 April 2015, Transavia airline announced a new service to Germany.
Transavia started to operate flights from Berlin to Rotterdam. The flight departs from Berlin-Tegel at 3.20 pm and lands in Rotterdam at 4.40 pm. Estimated flight time is 80 minutes. Six times a week (except Mondays), a Boeing B737-800/700 aircraft will be headed for the Dutch city of Rotterdam. The flying times vary from day to day.
Transavia operates a modern fleet of 31 aircraft consisting of nine Boeing B737-700 and 22 Boeing B737-800. Transavia Airlines carries 4.5 million passengers a year. The airline also holds a stake of 40% in Transavia France. Both airlines fly in the same design and are subsidiaries of Air France-KLM.
Rotterdam airport is approximately 6 kilometers north of Rotterdam's city centre, and approximately 20 kilometres southeast of The Hague, the seat of the Dutch government and parliament.
