TAV Airports Holding's joint venture, ATU Duty Free, has been awarded the tender to operate the duty free shops in United States of America. ATU, which is the largest duty free operator of Turkey, operates duty free operations of Istanbul Ataturk, Ankara Esenboğa, Izmir Adnan Menderes, Gazipaşa Alanya airports in Turkey, as well as Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi airports in Georgia, Skopje and Ohrid airports in Macedonia, Enfidha, Monastir, Carthage, Djerba, Sfax, Tozeur and Tabarka airports in Tunisia, Riga Airport in Latvia, Salalah Airport in Oman and Madinah Airport in Saudi Arabia.
The company has won the tender of duty free operations management at Houston George Bush Airport in Texas, USA, for 10 years. Houston City Council approved and authorized a retail concession agreement between the City of Houston and ATU Americas, LLC for specialty retail and duty free operations at George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
