IATA 71st Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit, Miami, 7-9 June 2015

The 71st IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM), and World Air Transport Summit will be held in in Miami, from 7 to 9 June 2015 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Program highlights This year’s AGM will be held as the global airline community celebrates a special anniversary: it was 70 years ago that 57 airlines from 31 countries joined together to create IATA at a meeting in Havana, Cuba, just a few hundred miles away from the site of this year’s AGM. IATA’s anniversary year is shaping up to be a relatively good one for aviation. The global airline industry is expected to record an industry profit of $25 billion. On total industry revenues of $783 billion, it means that airlines on average will retain about $7 for every passenger carried for an average net margin of 3.2%. The IATA AGM and World Air Transport Summit is an opportunity to hear from and interact with the industry’s top chief executives and leaders.
