Air France signed a sponsorship agreement with Vinexpo, the international wine and spirits fair taking place this year from 14 to 18 June 2015 in Bordeaux. During the fair, Air France will have a stand and will be associated with the Club Vinexpo representing the major international purchasers from the wine and spirits industry. This area, renamed Club Vinexpo by Air France, will have a VIP lounge with top-of-the-range services.
Air France will also present its new long-haul Business seat, a real cocoon in the sky. Finally, Company staff will offer participants a wide range of services including check-in and ticket modifications, much appreciated especially by foreign visitors.
In addition to its presence at the exhibition, the Air France-KLM group provides Vinexpo with the services of its powerful network. The 10 daily flights connecting the hubs at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol to Bordeaux provide connecting opportunities to travel to the prestigious event on departure from the Group’s 231 destinations. Vinexpo customers will benefit from a specific fare offer and special attention throughout their journey. At Paris-Charles de Gaulle, dedicated check-in counters, personalized assistance during connections and interpreters will be available as from 12 June 2015.
Like the vintages presented at the show, Air France now offers its customers an extensive wine and Champagne list selected by internationally renowned experts. The Company uses the talents of Paolo Basso, voted world's best sommelier in 2013, to draw up the wine list on its entire network. The sommelier works closely with Bettane and Desseauve, authors of French Wine Guide.
