Dubai-based developer Seven Tides has
launched a new mobile-friendly website which is now image-centric, having
discarded thumbnail reference images and replaced them to allow full view
images with dedicated headlines.
Seven Tides has also added a
mobile-friendly menu and enabled touch features like swiping slider images by
finger as a recent User Experience Design (UXD) study revealed that users
prefer to scroll rather than click.
“There are over 2.5 billion
smartphone users around the world and each of course have a camera, so it is
hardly surprising that we have become a society that is clearly image-driven,”
said Declan McNaughton, Director of Sales &
Marketing - Real Estate at Seven Tides.
The beauty of images is that no
translation is required, they speak a thousand words in any language and dedicated
social platforms such as Instagram underscore their universal popularity.
“Utilising an image-centric
website will optimize our marketing campaigns, providing potential investors and
real estate agents, with an option to promote or view our luxury residences on
the move through the use of imagery, I believe our new online platform will
give us an edge over our competition, some of which are primarily text based,”
added McNaughton.
“Powerful imagery can also drive
emotion, so they must be relevant and realistic, creating a sense of belonging
or feeling virtually at home, in the Anantara Residences,” added McNaughton.
Other features of the website
include allowing visitors to see a full overview of the project from the
homepage itself; it also has switched email delivery to use a cloud-based
service to ensure 100% delivery.
