Westin Hotels & resorts presents secret gardens

Westin Hotels & Resorts presents Secret Gardens, a brand new programme, which combines the passion for travel, nature and well-being with the artistic and historical Italian heritage, unveiling the hidden gems of the most fascinating private homes and palaces, museums and religious Italian institutions that are predominantly unknown or inaccessible to the public.

Secret Gardens in the cities of Milan, Venice, Florence and Rome offers a privileged and personalized access to gardens, courtyards, small private and non-private parks, where history and tradition meet nature.
The Secret Gardens tours will allow guests of The Westin Europa & Regina Venice, The Westin Excelsior Florence, The Westin Excelsior Rome and The Westin Palace Milan to discover and re-energize in some of the most inspiring venues, by taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and wander into idyllic green havens. A local multilingual tour guide will open the doors of these green sanctuaries and oases, delighting guests with historical and botanical insights. Guests will also be pampered with a special SuperFoodsRx™ snack box for a unique urban picnic designed by Westin Hotels Executive Chefs.

The programme is curated in Florence and Milan in partnership with Città Nascosta Firenze and Città Nascosta Milano, in Rome with IF Rome, while in Venice in collaboration with Wigwam Giardini Storici.
“Our cities are full of hidden gardens that belong to private families or public institutions and are rich in art, fountains, ancient statues, rare plants and archeological ruins. These hidden-away treasures have been preserved for centuries, and while some are open, several of them are completely unknown and yet to be revealed to the public” says Manuela Alessandra Filippi founder of Città Nascosta Milan. “The Westin’s Secret Gardens programme gives guests the opportunity to discover and indulge in some of the most special and intimate green havens of the cities – an exclusive experience that will show the beautiful Italian urban landscapes under a completely new light.”
