The award-winning Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai has
confirmed its participation at this year’s World Travel Market (WTM) event in London as the popular business
hotel continues to target key European source market business.
Taking place in London
from 3-6 November 2014, World Travel Market is the pre-eminent global event for
the travel industry and the annual must-attend business-to-business showcase
and platform for networking.
Senior executives will represent the hotel with a dedicated
presence as part of the high profile Dubai
pavilion, with a full schedule of one-on-one client and trade partner meetings
already lined up.
“WTM is a pivotal event for us as, the European
feeder markets are key to our continued high occupancy levels and strongly
support the success of our food and beverage offering,” said Simon Moore, General Manager, Millennium Airport Hotel
Dubai.
Year to date, the hotel has seen a surge in demand
from the UK market with an increase in the registered room nights by up to
42.5% year-on-year, making travellers from the UK the second highest source
market, after the US. The German and Italian markets also registered
significant growth and are now the hotel’s seventh and eighth best performing
markets respectively.

“Our year-long renovation programme, which added 150
refurbished superior rooms back into our inventory just prior to last year’s
WTM event, as well as the introduction of a further 54 brand new club rooms and
21 suites at the tail end of the year, meant that we were able to aggressively
target our traditionally high-performing source markets and attract new
business with a high quality refreshed product,” said Moore.
Located on floors one to four, the redesigned
40-square metre superior rooms are equipped with corporate travellers in mind
and feature an executive working desk, 40-inch flat screen television, WIFI
internet access, coffee and tea-making facilities and spacious bathroom with
separate bath and walk-in shower.
Business executives and leisure travellers booking
into the hotel, named the Middle East’s Leading Airport Hotel at the 2012 &
2013 World Travel Awards, can also enjoy one of the biggest swimming pools in
Dubai, 4 restaurants offering a wide range of authentic cuisines from Italian
to Tex-Mex complimentary valet parking and return transfers from and to Dubai
International Airport.
“We are committed to providing a best-in-class
experience across every aspect of the hotel operation and this is also
reflected in our winter promotional campaign whereby we are offering both
corporate and individual travellers a host of added value benefits when booking
our ‘Have a Nice Weekend’ package; which we will be actively promoting to our
clients and partners at WTM”, said Moore.
When booking the Weekend package, guests can enjoy a 10%
discount on the best flexible room rate, 20% discount on food and beverage, 20%
discount on spa treatments, a complimentary full buffet breakfast for two
people, free wifi access, early check-in and late checkout (subject to availability)
and double M&C Loyalty Club points.
The hotel renovations also saw popular al fresco
locations including the Oasis Pool & Bar and Terrace area get a makeover,
with the outdoor area, which cumulatively incorporates the outdoor spaces used
by the hotels’ three busy dining and entertainment outlets – Cactus Jack’s,
Biggles pub and Gozo Garden also capitalising on the unique setting as an
in-demand location for entertainment and gala events.
