A Saint Petersburg based tour operator has suspended activities.
According to Russia's Union of Tourism Industry report Saint Petersburg based tour operator Solvex-Tourne has suspended activities.
Some 9,000 clients of the company are abroad now, as most of them are staying in Greece and Bulgaria. About 8,500 clients have paid for their tours in 2013.
In the summer season 2014, Russia’s tourism sector saw a number of bankruptcies. From July, 16 companies closed operations due to financial problems, including including Neva (July 6), Roza Vetrov Mir (July 25), Expo Tour (July 30), and Labirint.
