Renowned Yoga master to hold two-month training course in Khao Lak hotel

Thailand’s role as a centre of health and wellness will be further strengthened when one of the world’s well-known practitioners of Hatha Yoga gives an intensive two-month course to instructors and trainers in the southern Thailand coastal resort of Khao Lak later this year.
The SENTIDO Graceland Khaolak Resort and Spa will host the course by Indian yoga master Bikram Choudury between 14 September to 16 November, 2014. Applications are now open for the course, which is expected to attract about 400 participants from around the world.
The Bikram Yoga Teacher Training Course is described as an “exciting, hard-working, intensive, effective, amusing and glamorous” programme. Participants spend nine weeks immersed in the study of Bikram Yoga with Masters Bikram and Rajashree Choudhury and their staff of senior teachers.
The course, leading to a certificate of completion, will introduce participants to the basic knowledge needed to begin teaching this powerful healing yoga. It covers asana, anatomy, therapeutic applications and health benefits, nutrition, philosophy of Yoga and the Bikram Yoga dialogue.
Through dedicated practice and study of the 26 postures, participants will expand their knowledge of the Bikram Method and prepare themselves to teach it.
Master Bikram Choudhury has held such training courses in the United States, Japan, Australia and many other parts of the world. He counts among his students many famous personalities, from countries’ presidents to Hollywood actors.
The SENTIDO Graceland Khao Lak Resort and Spa is located on Bangsak Beach in Khao Lak, in the province of Phang Nga, 90 kms north of Phuket International Airport. With 100 metres of beachfront, lush trees and mountain views, the resort was carefully developed to preserve its natural charm. The designers of this first SENTIDO property in Thailand created a unique atmosphere where guests can breathe fresh air and feel completely rejuvenated.
