IACC-Europe announced its upcoming study tour and conference in Stockholm, Sweden. The conference is scheduled for Saturday, 4 October, 2014 through to Monday, 6 October, 2014.
At the IACC-Europe annual conference in October, Mark Cooper, IACC’s CEO says the learning experience and the manner in which the education will be delivered represents a brand new concept and meeting architecture. Delegates will be encouraged to think differently, change their point of view and experience empowered learning.
The format of this year’s conference is one of providing IACC members with a Study Tour experience, with education delivered along the way. Cooper explains “our members told us that they valued experiencing IACC venues highly, so we changed the format of the conference, where traditionally just one venue will be taken in by delegates. By creating this study tour and road show concept, delegates will experience not one, but three IACC conference centres over 3 days”. The conference is also open to non-members and suppliers to conference centres.
Cooper further highlights “this year we aim to adapt our education programme in line with the new study tour approach and we will be delivering pockets of learning in bite-sized chunks as opposed to a day of back-to-back seminars” says Cooper. “We want to provide an environment for our members to broaden their mind and share best practice”. The event will present opportunities to gain new skills and network with peers and leaders in the global conference centre industry and invites delegates to get inspired alongside like-minded professionals from the expanding global IACC community.
Keynote speakers include:
Julian Stubbs, with an interactive session, “Branding for Success” focusing on key considerations to achieve successful branding, strong identity, and effective communications. Delegates will learn about value propositions and how to improve their role in carrying the brand.
Karl Ryberg, Light Architect will present Colours for Visual and Emotional Navigation where delegates will learn about the significant impact of light on ambience in meeting rooms and other learning environments. Ryberg holds university degrees in both architecture and psychology and will discuss how humans are affected by light and colour.
Ted Hesselbom will offer Clash of the Past and Present in Today’s Design — the Challenge of Working with Change. Hesselbom is Museum Director at Röhss Museum, Gothenburg and Director of the museum in Sigtuna Municipality and Head of Sigtuna Museum & Art.
