Aeroflot passengers will be able to earn miles through their hotel stay thanks to a recent partnership with a major international hotel chain.
Aeroflot and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) announced the start of their cooperation focused on the Aeroflot Bonus frequent flyer program. From now on, program participants will be able to accrue bonus miles when they stay in IHG hotels around the world.
InterContinental Hotels Group has a broad portfolio of nine hotel brands, including InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Indigo®, Crowne Plaza® Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn® Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn Express®, Staybridge Suites® and Candlewood Suites®, EVEN™ Hotels and HUALUXE® Hotels and Resorts.
To earn miles when staying at IHG hotels, travelers will need to join the IHG® Rewards Club loyalty program, which is the industry’s first and largest guest loyalty program with over 80 million members. Aeroflot Bonus participants will earn one or two miles per dollar spent on hotel services depending on the hotel brand. More information can be found here.
Rolf Hübner, Vice President, Central & Eastern Europe, Russia & CIS Operations, IHG said: “Aeroflot’s commitment to improving tourism in Russia is unwavering. Sharing the same ambition, we plan to have 100 hotels open or in the pipeline in Russia, the CIS and Georgia by 2020 to provide guests with great hotels that they love. We look forward to taking this partnership from strength to strength and adding significant value to Russia’s tourism and hospitality industry.” Notes for editors:
The Aeroflot Bonus program, which this year celebrates its 15th anniversary, is the biggest loyalty program in Russia and the CIS. It currently has more than 4 million participants. Members earn bonus miles for every flight with the Aeroflot Group or a SkyTeam company. The number of miles depends on the flight rate and distance. Miles can be spent on bonus tickets, class upgrades or exchanged for bonuses from program partners.
