The Most Welcoming Luxury Hotel in Switzerland

Grand Hotel Kronenhof, Pontresina has won a Switzerland Tourism PRIX BIENVENU award, having been named the most welcoming luxury hotel in Switzerland 2014.
The awards, which were being presented for the second year running, were handed out at a glittering ceremony in Lausanne on the 17th Switzerland Vacation Day.
The aim of the PRIX BIENVENU awards is to recognize those hotels that provide a model example of how to preserve the world-famous tradition of Swiss hospitality.
Accepting the award, Managing Director of Grand Hotel Kronenhof Marc Eichenberger, said, “It is a real honour to receive the PRIX BIENVENU on behalf of the entire team at the hotel; friendliness and a passion for hospitality are key elements of our ethos. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my predecessors Heinz and Jenny Hunkeler, who played a very important role in building up a solid team and the highest levels of service in the seven years that they managed the hotel prior to my arrival in March 2013”.
The PRIX BIENVENU is not the only recognition that Grand Hotel Kronenhof has received this year. In January, the property was named the World’s Top Hotel in the 2014 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice® awards, as well as being ranked Europe’s Top Hotel, Switzerland’s Top Hotel, the fifth best Luxury hotel in Europe, the second most Romantic hotel in Switzerland and the top Luxury hotel in Switzerland. And last week, in England, The Daily Telegraph’s Ultratravel included Grand Hotel Kronenhof in its annual list of the top five hotels in Europe, alongside the Four Seasons in Paris and Claridge’s, The Dorchester and The Savoy in London.
