The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) – the voice of the global business travel industry –announced that its European conference will take place in Berlin, Germany on 12-14 November.
GBTA has combined its conference with the German business travel association, Verband Deutsches Reisemanagement, VDR’s annual autumn meeting to create the largest European event of its kind with over 700 delegates expected.
Catherine McGavock, Director of Operations for GBTA in Europe commented: “We are delighted to be having our annual conference in Berlin this year and even more pleased to be doing this with our valued partner VDR in Europe’s strongest economy. This is a landmark year for the city which will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and a significant milestone for GBTA as we develop our annual conference into the largest event of its kind in Europe.”
Hans-Ingo Biehl, Executive Director of VDR commented: “We are delighted to be working with GBTA on this event, the response to the announcement of our strategic partnership has been great with universal support both in Germany and across Europe. The event will feature both German and English speaking tracks of education to cater for the large number of expected Germans and the delegates from over 20 countries globally.”
