DOHA, QATAR—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. today announced that it will soon introduce its Westin Hotels & Resorts brand to Qatar.
Owned by Ghanem Al Thani Holdings, The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa is scheduled to open in late 2014 in the city’s central business district. Just 15 minutes from Doha International Airport, The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa will be in close proximity to the Museum of Islamic Art, Education City and the Al Mushreib rejuvenation project in Doha’s downtown area.

The 365 guestrooms will include 92 executive rooms, five private bungalows and two presidential suites, all featuring the Westin Heavenly Bed as well as the latest in modern in-room technology. The Heavenly Bath will create a spa-like experience. The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa will also offer five dining venues, including an all-day dining restaurant, a grill and Thai restaurant as well as a jazz cocktail and sports bar.
The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa will also feature nearly 2,900 square meters of event space, including a ballroom and 10 meeting rooms and a fully equipped business center. The Heavenly Spa by Westin will offer 10 treatment rooms and an array of treatments.
