  • Aslı Gündoğdu Aksungur appointed as Deputy Attaché at newly opened Turkish Culture and Tourist Office in Athens, Greece. 
  • Russia’s state aviation watchdog has banned carry-on liquids for flights at all of the country’s airports ahead of next month’s Winter Olympics in Sochi.
  • Alaska Airlines and star NFL quarterback Russell Wilson announced the winners of “Russell 12th Fan Rescue” nationwide contest. The two winning entries were submitted by Adam Christoferson, of East Haven, Conn., and by Stephen Emerson and his 10-year-old son Andrew
  • Aeroflot took delivery of the fourth Sukhoi SuperJet 100 «Ivan Orlovets» in full specification made by JSC «Sukhoi Civil Aircraft» (SCAC.
  • The aircraft is named after Ivan Vlasovich Orlovets, a veteran of World War II, Honored Pilot of the USSR.
