Magnuson to Launch CRS in U.S

LONDON—Magnuson Worldwide will launch the CRS1 platform, its global hotel reservation system, in the U.S. on Jan. 16 at the Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association (HEDNA) Conference in New Orleans.

Launched in the UK last October, the CRS1 platform will be made available in the U.S. to selected metro-market hotels and will offer flat fees per transaction with volume-based pricing. According to the company, hotels using commonly provided legacy hotel reservation systems can reduce CRS transaction costs by up to 90%.

The platform also offers a free hotel property management system, PMS1, with no monthly fees, no monthly minimums and no long-term contracts, according to the company. CRS1 also is able to interface with major PMSs like Micros, MSI, Infor by Softbrands, Maestro, Agilysys, Inn Quest, RezStream Rezovation, Lodgical Solutions, Innsoft, AutoClerk, Resort Data Processing, SoftHotel and RSI.

Users of CRS1 also are able to make instant rate and availability changes to GDS channels like Sabre, Amadeus, Worldspan, Apollo and Pegasus, as well as direct connections to Google Hotel Finder, Expedia, Booking.com and other social media sites.
