IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) announced a new agreement that will result three new properties in India.
IHG’s partnership with Jain Group will bring Holiday Inn brand to West Bengal. As a part of the agreement, the hotels will come up in Kolkata, Siliguri and Durgapur within the next two-three years. The hotel will add to IHG’s strong pipeline of Holiday Inn brand family hotels, which represent more than 85% of the company’s growth in India.
Holiday Inn Kolkata located next to City Centre 2 in New Town, will have 150 rooms, including four deluxe suites. The hotel will be built on an area of one lakh sq. ft., and will offer three specialty restaurants, two floors of banqueting facilities, swimming pool, gym and a spa.
Holiday Inn Durgapur will be the first internationally branded hotel in Durgapur, located next to NSHM Knowledge Campus in Muchipara on National Highway 2. Built on an area of 80,000 sq. ft., the hotel will have 100 guest rooms, three banquet halls, a 24-hour coffee shop, three fine-dining restaurants, swimming pool, gym and a salon.
Holiday Inn Siliguri will be the first internationally branded hotel in the city and North Bengal area. Located on Hillcart Road near Darjeeling More, the hotel will be built on an area of one lakh sq. ft. with 80 rooms, three banquet halls, a 24-hour coffee shop, three specialty restaurants, swimming pool, health club and a salon.
