InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) will open its first Crowne Plaza® in Barcelona.
Crowne Plaza Barcelona Fira Center will open during the first quarter this year. The hotel with 3,000sqm of meeting space will have the largest conference and meeting facilities across the entire portfolio of Crowne Plaza properties in Europe.
Occupying a prime location in the city centre, the hotel is less than 100 metres away from the Fira Barcelona Convention Center next to Plaza Espana Square, one of Barcelona’s most renowned public spaces. Its sizeable rooms coupled with excellent train and airport transportation links will cement its appeal to both corporate and leisure travellers.
There are currently 82 Crowne Plaza Properties in Europe with a further 12 in the pipeline due to open in the next three to five years.
