Four Points by Sheraton Charleston Becomes First Starwood Hotel in West Virginia

CHARLESTON, WV—Four Points by Sheraton Charleston completed a $15-million renovation to transform the Charleston House Hotel here into the newest addition to the Four Points portfolio, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide’s first property to open in West Virginia.

To celebrate its grand opening, the hotel will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 22.
Owned by BBL Hospitality, Four Points by Sheraton Charleston offers newly renovated 176 guestrooms and suites, 12,000 sq. ft. of meeting facilities and full-service dining. The hotel also provides views of the Kanawha River.

“Four Points by Sheraton Charleston offers an unbeatable riverfront location right at the heart of the city’s bustling downtown where guests can enjoy an uncomplicated comfort, genuine service, plus all the amenities they need to stay productive on the road,” stated Brian McGuinness, SVP of Specialty Select Brands for Starwood.
Prior to re-opening as a Four Points, the 12-story hotel, built in 1966, fully renovated all guest rooms, meeting rooms and public areas, refurbished the exterior and added the Recovery Sports Grill and an indoor pool.
Four Points by Sheraton Charleston is located in the city’s business district, close to Charleston Civic Center, Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences, the State Capitol Complex, the Charleston Area Medical Center and the shops and restaurants at Charleston Town Center.
