The
Association of National Tourism Office Representatives (ANTOR) met with a
representative from Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) on Friday, 11th October, to
discuss the inaugural World Travel Market Africa (WTM Africa), taking place at
the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) on 2nd and 3rd May 2014.
WTM
Africa will be the leading B2B exhibition for Africa’s leisure travel industry,
bringing the world to Africa and promoting Africa
to the world’s leading source markets. WTM Africa will attract exhibitors from
all categories of the leisure travel industry within sub-Sahara Africa as well
as North African destinations, aligning itself with sister events; WTM, WTM
Latin America, Arabian Travel Market and International French Travel Market Top
Resa.
“We
are delighted to work in partnership with ANTOR members here in South Africa as
an extension of the successful relationship ANTOR continue to enjoy with our
sister event WTM in London”, commented Polly Magraw, Exhibition Manager WTM
Africa.
“ANTOR
members were very keen to get all the information possible on this new outbound
show which will target not only South Africa
and Africa but the rest of the world. WTM
Africa will benefit from the Reed knowledge, expertise and standing. It was
ideal to meet with Polly from Reed Travel Exhibitions, to satisfy ourselves
that our needs will be met and that we will have all the necessary tools to
promote the show to potential exhibitors and principals in our respective
countries. This outbound travel show will highlight the amazing growth of Africa in the tourism sector, whether inbound or outbound
and we are looking forward to the exchanges that will take place”, commented
Helene Bezuidenhoudt, President of ANTOR.
WTM
Africa is part of the new Africa Travel Week which includes fellow Reed Travel
Exhibitions’ events, IBTM Africa and ILTM Africa.
