Malaysia Airlines has re-introduced direct flights to Narita International Airport, Tokyo from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
This much awaited service was strongly rooted for by Malaysians and Japanese alike. This service will re-open Kota Kinabalu as the Malaysian national carrier’s eastern hub.
Beginning 28 October 2013, MH080 will depart Kota Kinabalu at 7.25am on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and arrive at Tokyo at 2.00pm on the same days.
Meanwhile, the return flight, MH081 will depart Tokyo at 2.55pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and arrive Kota Kinabalu at 8.05pm on the same days.
A two-class configured Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 144 economy class seats and 16 business class seats is being used for this Tokyo - Kota Kinabalu return service.
