MEXICO CITY, MEXICO—IHG and Operadora ALRO recently opened the 143-room Holiday Inn Mexico Buenavista hotel in Mexico City to expand IHG’s family hotels in Mexico.
“This is IHG’s fifth opening in Mexico City this year, demonstrating the confidence that investors and franchisees have in our brand family,” stated Gerardo Murray, VP, Marketing Strategic Services, Mexico, Latin America and Caribbean, IHG. “The convenient location of this newly renovated property makes it an excellent choice for travelers who visit Mexico City for business or leisure.”
Architects Enrique Belmont and Luis Enrique Becerra provided the design of the Holiday Inn Mexico Buenavista hotel. They are also responsible for construction. The hotel opens following a $9-million renovation by the ownership. Further renovation plans include the addition of a new building adjacent to the hotel, which will feature two meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 300 people each. The new building is slated to open before mid-2014.
