Conventa,
definitely one of the most anticipated professional meeting industry
gatherings of 2014, is moving full speed ahead with preparation for
its 6th edition.
The meetings floor in Ljubljana will be hot again frm 22 to 23 January 2014.
The new edition will bring even more experience, education, emotions, energy and entertainment while the focus will remain on facilitating personal contact between meeting planners and meeting suppliers. Miha Kovacic, director of Slovenian Convention Bureau and organizer of Conventa, explains: “Personal contact between buyer and supplier is crucial in the meetings industry. Face to face communication is still the king and it is essential to establish trust. Without trust there is no business.”
Gorazd Cad, head of marketing, adds: “Conventa is simple, heartfelt, warm and attractive. Our brand invites you to a personal meeting for coffee and this sums up the essence and atmosphere of the project - hospitality. Through the brand we are trying to convince congress organisers what the DNA of the region in which we operate is like. We are trying to understand the context of the region and to facilitate to meeting planners the agony of choosing destinations on the principle of the best in one place.”
The trade show celebrated its 5th anniversary in the beginning of 2013 and the organizers are now looking ahead, setting new goals and looking forward to the upcoming edition. Miha Kovacic explains: “Our aim of the next five years is to position South East Europe on the top priority list for meetings and incentives. Conventa will develop further and offer the best ROI possible and a superb trade show experience. We are thoroughly analysing the show every year and in cooperation with our partners enhancing the quality of the show and experience of participants. The aim of the show is not just to grow in size, the aim is first to grow in quality.”
A couple of novelties will be introduced already in 2014. Compared to past shows, hosted buyers attending the 6th edition will spend an extra night in the host city of Ljubljana and thus have the opportunity to familiarise themselves better with the destination and providers of meeting industry services from South East European region. Furthermore, they will have more time to enjoy a range of services enabling them to focus on building a network of potential partners in a business friendly environment. Serious meeting planners who share their interest and would love to get to know South East European region, can already apply for hosted buyer programme at Conventa. Selected buyers will get the VIP treatment including complimentary economy return air ticket from selected destinations within Europe to Ljubljana on Adria Airways flights, overnight accommodation, airport and other transfers, meals, networking opportunities, personal itinerary of appointments, fam trips and the assistance of Conventa support team before and during the show.
