and JatAirways, the national carrier of Serbia, are planning a
codeshare agreement, which will be put in place in the course of this
summer. The agreement is aimed at collaboration between the two
airlines on selected routes within Europe and to the United States of
America. airberlin plans to place its code on JatAirways’ flights
between Germany and Belgrade and thus provide its guests with
non-stop connection to the Serbian capital for the first time. In
return JatAirways will place its JU code on flights across
airberlin’s extensive route network. Via the airberlin hubs in
Berlin and Dusseldorf there are convenient connections to Europe and
the US, such as Chicago or New York.

Our guests thus benefit from a more attractive route network and a comfortable and seamless travel experience."
Currently, airberlin has codeshare agreements with 14 airline partners worldwide. The new codeshare agreement with JatAirways is also in line with the airline’s strategic partnership with Etihad Airways. From 15th June, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates will commence daily non-stop flights between Abu Dhabi and Belgrade.
