Marriott International Accelerates Expansion in Turkey


Marriott International announced the signing of a management agreement with Bertuğbey Inșaat Turizm Ve Tekstil Ticaret A.Ş to open the 254-room Marriott Sisli Hotel in Istanbul’s Sisli district.
The hotel will join the signature Marriott Hotels & Resorts brand and will be Marriott International’s seventh hotel in Istanbul. Located on the European side of Istanbul, the hotel is under construction and expected to open in late 2013.
The announcement follows a number of recent hotel openings forMarriott International in Turkey, including the JW Marriott AnkaraHotel and Renaissance Istanbul Bosphorus Hotel, and will be Marriott’s tenth hotel in the country.

Located between the business districts of Levent and Taksim, Sisli is an ideal base for business travellers while still being close to Istanbul’s cultural and historic sites and served by excellent transport links. Already a key commercial district and hub for shopping and trade, the area is going through a further regeneration with office space in the district expected to multiply significantly in coming years.
The Marriott Sisli Hotel will be located in the top floors of a striking 35-story tower, providing stunning views across the city towards the Bosphorus. Boasting 254 rooms designed by the well-known Turkish interior designers Uras & Dilekci, guests will be able to enjoy the hotel’s extensive leisure facilities, including fitness room, spa, indoor pool and outdoor tennis court.
