Hotel Xanadu set to launch in West London

Situated just 25 minutes from Heathrow Airport, Hotel Xanadu is set to open in Mid-October.
The boutique hotel will comprise 46 double rooms and 2 executive suites, a private meeting room and a chic bar and restaurant, which will serve Asian influenced cuisine reflecting the local flavours of the Silk Route.
Entrepreneur and interior designer Jalal Al-Yawer comments: “Design is a true passion of mine and with Xanadu I wanted to create a bespoke brand synonymous with genuine quality, attention to detail, good food, charming comfort, relaxing ambience and a cool and trendy atmosphere”.
I have been fascinated with Coleridge’s poem Xanadu - Kubla Khan ever since I came across it in my literature lectures and I am delighted that I have been able to capture the essence of this poem and transform it into a property which combines oriental and exotic elements with modern features. Hotel Xanadu will offer a truly unusual and special experience for all our visitors,” Al-Yawer continues.
Within close proximity to Heathrow and with an underground station on the doorstep the hotel is ideally located for business travellers and tourists. Each room offers a relaxing atmosphere, inspired by countries along the silk route with art, design and artefacts carefully selected to represent life and culture from each region.
Hotel Xanadu will also bring Koobla Bar & Restaurant to Ealing, which will be open to both hotel residents and the general public. “The word Koobla is a variation of Kubla (Khan) and a homage to Coleridge’s poem. The Koobla Bar & Restaurant will be part of Hotel Xanadu, but also a stand-alone destination”, Al-Yawer concludes.
The Koobla restaurant menu is inspired by the Silk Route and represents the unusual cuisine and spices that Marco Polo enjoyed on his 24 year journey through Europe and Asia – each dish has been interpreted by Koobla’s chef for today’s traveller-in-spirit. The cocktail menu has also been designed to complement the exotic dishes with matching flavours and spices from the Far East to the Mediterranean.
Xanadu also offers an intimate library room, which is ideal for private dining, social gatherings or short business meetings and events.
Room rates start from £150 for a Double and £200 for an Executive Suite. All rooms are equipped with spacious bathrooms, flat screen satellite TV, direct dial phone, coffee & tea making facilities, hairdryer and free Wi-Fi access. Guests are also invited to hire a complimentary iPad or bicycle during their stay.
