The Bay Area Houston Birding Guide and Bay Area Houston Water Recreation Guide provide information on outdoor experiences across the Texas Gulf Coast area, including waterways, birding locations, marinas, tours and recreational activities.
The 24-page Bay Area Houston Water Recreation Guide covers more than 35 miles of waterfront along Clear Lake, Galveston Bay and surrounding waterways.
The guide includes information on paddling trails, kayak rentals, guided boat tours, pleasure cruises, sailing charters, fishing charters and local marinas. It also features waterfront dining options for visitors combining water-based activities with food and beverage experiences in the area.
The updated Bay Area Houston Birding Guide focuses on the region’s habitats and birdlife and identifies birding locations throughout Bay Area Houston. Among the locations featured are sites along the Great Texas Birding Trail’s Clear Lake, San Jacinto and Texas City loops.
The guide has been developed for both experienced birdwatchers and visitors incorporating wildlife observation and outdoor activities into their itineraries. Printed copies of both guides are available free of charge from the League City Visitor Center, located inside Soulfreak Railroad Café at League Park, 512 2nd St. Digital versions of the guides are also available through League City’s destination website alongside additional visitor planning information.
