TripStax and ALTOUR have launched a global agency model that enables ALTOUR and its network of independent travel agencies to operate through a unified travel management framework.
The model connects agencies, technology systems and markets within a centrally managed operating structure. At the same time, participating agencies retain their local market knowledge and service delivery capabilities.
The companies said the framework aims to simplify data management and reduce integration complexity across ALTOUR’s international network. It also supports consistent customer communications and service processes across different markets.
TripStax QC provides the quality control and workflow platform underpinning the global agency model. The system checks bookings against corporate requirements, operational policies and defined quality standards.
The platform operates through TripStax Core, a data warehouse that collects, stores and enriches traveller booking, profile, finance and third-party data. It can receive information from multiple content sources, including global distribution systems and online booking tools.
TripStax Core consolidates the information to provide ALTOUR agencies with a central data source within TripStax QC. The implementation also includes the integrated TripStax Profile and TripStax Docs modules.
The technology creates a centralised operating environment across ALTOUR’s global agency network. It synchronises traveller profiles, booking information, quality control processes, documentation and branding.
In addition, the system provides centralised data management, automated itinerary production and unified reporting. It also supports consistent customer communications and branding across participating agencies.
Multinational corporate clients can therefore receive a standardised service framework across markets, while continuing to access local expertise and fares. The model also provides centralised automation and reporting, regardless of where individual bookings originate.
Traditional agency consortia generally allow members to operate independently within a shared network. By comparison, the TripStax and ALTOUR framework connects participating agencies through common data, profile, documentation and quality control systems.
The companies said the structure will support ALTOUR’s participation in larger multinational travel management opportunities. It will also provide the company with a unified operating system for managing international corporate accounts.
Jack Ramsey, CEO of TripStax, said: “We are very excited to announce the launch of this ground-breaking model which is the result of extensive collaboration between ALTOUR and TripStax. For decades, the industry has tried to create global agency networks but agencies still operated independently behind the scenes. What we’ve built with ALTOUR is fundamentally different. For the first time, agencies in multiple markets can operate through a single quality control, profile, data and documentation framework, creating a truly unified global service model. TripStax is the only single tech provider capable of doing this, as no other vendor can combine QC, profiles, documentation and PNR-passive-free centralised data aggregation.
