Our annual grants program is open for applications.

The new program includes new funding opportunities, a simpler application process and a longer 6-week application window. 

There’s also extra support to help turn good ideas into action. 

Applications close 4pm, Tuesday 1 September 2026.

Our new grant finder helps individuals, businesses, community groups and organisations to identify potential support for their project. 

Select what you’re looking to do, for example, ‘support your creative practice’, or ‘strengthen my community’, and we’ll show you the opportunities on offer to eligible applicants.

Census 2026 is on 11 August

Every 5 years, Australia completes the Census, creating a valuable snapshot of our people, homes and communities. The information collected helps shape decisions about funding, services and infrastructure, ensuring support is directed to where it’s needed most.

While completing the Census is compulsory, there’s a range of information, translated resources and support services available to help people from all backgrounds take part confidently and safely.
