flyadeal launches first Italy services from Milan Bergamo

Milan Bergamo Airport has welcomed the arrival of Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier flyadeal, which has launched its first scheduled operations in Italy with nonstop flights to Jeddah and Riyadh.

The inaugural service from Jeddah landed at Milan Bergamo Airport on 1 July, followed by the launch of flights to Riyadh on 2 July, further expanding the airport’s connectivity with the Gulf region.

Both routes operate three times per week using flyadeal’s Airbus A320neo aircraft. Flights between Milan Bergamo and Jeddah operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, while services to Riyadh are scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The addition of the two routes introduces Saudi Arabia to Milan Bergamo Airport’s route network, making it the 45th country served by the airport during the 2026 Summer season.

The new services are expected to support inbound tourism and outbound travel demand by providing travellers from Saudi Arabia with direct access to Northern Italy, while offering passengers from the region convenient connections to Saudi Arabia and onward destinations across the Middle East and Pakistan through flyadeal’s network.

The Jeddah route is also expected to serve communities within Milan Bergamo Airport’s catchment area that maintain cultural, family and religious ties with Saudi Arabia. Both services are anticipated to contribute to growing business travel between the two markets.

“We are delighted to celebrate the launch of flyadeal’s first-ever services to Italy and to welcome the airline to Milan Bergamo Airport. The start of operations to Jeddah and Riyadh represents an important step in strengthening our connectivity with Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf region.”

flyadeal, a subsidiary of SAUDIA, has expanded its network since its launch and now operates a fleet of more than 40 Airbus A320 family aircraft. The airline serves over 40 seasonal and year-round destinations across Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, Europe, North Africa and South Asia from its bases in Jeddah, Riyadh, Madinah and Dammam.
