AMMAN – Royal Jordanian Airlines has launched a new direct route between Amman and Dallas, Texas, expanding its North American network and making Dallas the carrier’s fifth destination in the United States.
The new service commenced on 10 May and operates four weekly flights between Queen Alia International Airport and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport using Boeing Dreamliner aircraft.
According to the airline, the new route strengthens Royal Jordanian’s position as a key aviation link between the Middle East and North America, alongside its existing U.S. destinations of Washington, Chicago, New York and Detroit.
The inaugural flight ceremony was attended by Samer Majali, Vice Chairman and CEO of Royal Jordanian, U.S. Ambassador to Jordan Jim Holtsnider, and Marc Aubel, COO of Airport International Group, together with officials and industry stakeholders.
Samer Majali stated that the launch of the Amman–Dallas route represents a significant addition to the airline’s network and reflects efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Jordan and the United States. He noted that the route is expected to support economic and cultural exchange between the two countries while addressing growing travel demand from the Arab community residing in Texas.
Samer Majali also said the new direct service forms part of the airline’s wider network expansion strategy and aligns with preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States. He highlighted Amman’s role as a transit hub connecting global travel routes, particularly for passengers travelling from the Middle East to attend matches during the tournament period.
The airline stated that the launch supports its strategic plan to expand its global network to approximately 60 destinations and increase its fleet to around 40 aircraft over the coming years.
Nicolas Deviller, CEO of Airport International Group, commented: “The launch of the new Dallas–Fort Worth route from Queen Alia International Airport by our national carrier, Royal Jordanian, represents an important milestone in further enhancing Jordan’s global connectivity.”
He added: “The new direct service to North America broadens travel options for passengers while contributing to the national economy through increased tourism, trade, and business opportunities.”
Airport International Group said the route reflects continued cooperation with Royal Jordanian to strengthen Jordan’s international connectivity and expand travel options through Queen Alia International Airport.
