Virginia Guesthouse Hotel & Conference Center has officially opened in Charlottesville, located along the University of Virginia’s Ivy Corridor and introducing a new hospitality and meeting destination connected to the university environment.
The nine-storey property features 214 guest rooms and 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space, designed to support academic, business and community activities.
Gregg Hilker, General Manager of Virginia Guesthouse, stated: “Virginia Guesthouse was imagined as a gathering space to foster community and support all aspects of the university. We’re thrilled to open our doors and welcome our neighbors and UVA family for the first time, and we look forward to becoming a meaningful part of daily life in Charlottesville”.
The hotel incorporates a University of Virginia Welcome Center, offering guided tours, historical information and resources for prospective students and visitors, reinforcing its integration with the campus experience.
Designed to align with the university’s architectural character, the property offers views of the university grounds and the Blue Ridge Mountains. A programme of cultural activities is planned to align with academic and social events, including reunions, seasonal celebrations and sporting occasions.
The hotel also features three dining venues, focused on regional cuisine and social dining experiences.
Virginia Guesthouse is owned by the University of Virginia and managed by Pyramid Global Hospitality as part of the Benchmark Resorts & Hotels collection. The property is positioned to serve as a venue for meetings, conferences and visitor accommodation in the Charlottesville market.
