ATPCO announces real world results from product catalog


Airnguru and Longtail are live with in production Product Catalog implementations, improving their airline pricing and retailing capabilities

Dulles, VA – 31 March 2025 – ATPCO today announced two successful, live production implementations of its Product Catalog solution with Longtail Technologies and Airnguru, demonstrating how standardized public product data can materially improve the science used in pricing fares and ancillaries for airlines today.

Longtail and Airnguru, both customers of ATPCO’s data products, are now consuming ATPCO Product Catalog data daily within their dynamic pricing and optimization engines. While each company applies the data in distinct ways, both implementations leverage structured, standardized product attributes to enhance pricing intelligence, automate benchmarking, and generate more accurate, actionable recommendations for airline revenue teams, making each of their airline customers more competitive.

Airnguru is leveraging Product Catalog data within its dynamic ancillary optimization and bundling workflows in its Bundle Benchmark tool. By structuring and standardizing ancillary bundle definitions, Airnguru enhances product-level market comparisons and improves the automation of ancillary pricing and merchandising strategies. Production deployments show improved operational efficiency, stronger upsell potential, and reduced reliance on manual filing or custom data interpretation across systems.

Avianca, an Airnguru airline customer, piloted the tool in production testing and found significant results. "By integrating ATPCO's standardized Product Catalog data into the Bundle Benchmark tool by Airnguru, we've significantly improved the way we monitor and interpret competitor offerings across markets," said Andrés Felipe Díaz, Innovation Expert Analyst, Avianca. "We've reduced bundle data processing time from 45 to around 5 minutes, an 89% improvement, delivering near-instant results, while expanding our competitor visibility from 10 to 40 carriers. This gives our teams a much faster and broader view of the competitive landscape, enabling more timely decisions in increasingly dynamic markets.

Longtail is using its airline customers’ Product Catalog data, now standardized by ATPCO and incorporating structured product attributes into its engines. Early production results by Longtail demonstrate meaningful gains in benchmarking quality, faster delivery of actionable price recommendations, and the removal of manual workarounds previously required to interpret product differences across the market.
