ASTA Mentoring Program Expands Support for Travel Advisors

Award-winning program enters its fourth year with expanded mentoring opportunities launching at the ASTA Travel Advisor Conference

Alexandria, VA; April 28, 2026 The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) is continuing to build momentum around its ASTA Mentoring Program, an initiative designed to meet travel advisors wherever they are in their professional journey. Now in its fourth year, the program connects advisors with experienced industry professionals who can offer guidance, perspective and real-world insight as they build confidence, strengthen their businesses and navigate the travel industry.

The ASTA Mentoring Program is built around one-on-one mentorship, giving advisors direct access to seasoned professionals who understand the opportunities and challenges of the travel advisor profession. Whether participants are new to the industry or looking to grow and scale an established business, the program offers a structured way to gain support, develop skills and build meaningful professional relationships

“Mentorship is one of the most powerful ways we can support the next generation of travel advisors while also helping experienced advisors continue to grow,” said Zane Kerby, President and CEO of ASTA. “This program is about meeting advisors where they are, helping them build confidence and giving them access to the kind of insight that can make a lasting difference in their careers.”

The program has received strong feedback from the advisor community and has been recognized with two consecutive Travel Weekly Magellan Awards for Best Overall Agent Education Program in 2024 and 2025. The recognition underscores the value of mentorship as both a business development tool and a personal growth opportunity for travel advisors.

In addition to business guidance, the program emphasizes personal development, helping advisors strengthen self-worth, leadership skills, executive presence and long-term confidence. By creating space for candid conversations, shared experiences and practical guidance, the program supports the whole advisor, not just the business.

ASTA will expand mentoring opportunities at the upcoming Travel Advisor Conference with the launch of new mentoring-focused roundtables and a mentoring course. These additions are designed to complement the existing one-on-one program by bringing more advisors together, fostering stronger community connections and creating additional opportunities for shared learning.
