Amadeus acquires corporate travel AI developer

Amadeus has acquired SkyLink, an AI-first technology company.

SkyLink was founded to improve the corporate travel experience.

It has built a proprietary AI architecture and multilayer orchestration engine designed to integrate seamlessly into chat platforms.

This enables travellers to easily book and service flights and hotels conversationally within seconds, while businesses can benefit from cost savings as well as productivity gains from their employees.

The acquisition underpins Amadeus’ strategy to deploy AI that deliver value across the travel industry.

It says New York based SkyLink’s AI-native framework complements Amadeus’ global scale and suite of related APIs.

Amadeus’ aim is to scale AI reliably and at volume, supporting more relevant and efficient traveller interactions.

The immediate tangible benefit of the deal is SkyLink’s complementary technology to support travel management companies.

This will extend Amadeus’ solution capabilities for corporate travel, and expand Amadeus’ existing customer base in North America.

Amadeus plans to expand these AI-driven conversational capabilities beyond corporate travel, across airlines, airports and hospitality.

Luis Maroto, President and CEO, Amadeus said: “This reinforces Amadeus’ role as the trusted technology partner enabling innovation at scale and allowing AI to augment and reinforce the travel experience.
