Royal Caribbean Group introduces Points Choice loyalty programme

MIAMI – Royal Caribbean Group announced the introduction of Points Choice, a new loyalty initiative designed to allow guests to earn points across its cruise brands and apply them to the loyalty programme of their choice.

The programme applies to guests sailing with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea, enabling them to earn points on any of the three brands and allocate those points to the loyalty programme where they see the greatest value, regardless of the ship or brand they sail.

The launch of Points Choice comes as many travel loyalty programmes reduce benefits. Royal Caribbean Group stated that the initiative is intended to enhance the loyalty experience by creating a more connected and flexible structure across its brands.

“Points Choice is designed with our guests at the center,” said Jason Liberty, chairman and CEO of Royal Caribbean Group. “Our guests are exploring more of our brands than ever before, and we believe our loyalty experience should grow with them. Points Choice gives every guest the power to direct their loyalty points within our family of brands where they will have the biggest impact for them.”

Points Choice will launch in January 2026 and will connect the existing loyalty programmes across the group, including Crown & Anchor Society, Captain’s Club, and Venetian Society. Guests sailing with one brand will be able to apply earned points to any of the three programmes, either to continue building status with a preferred brand or to accelerate progress within another programme.

The initiative builds on the Status Match programme introduced in May 2024, which allows loyalty members to enjoy equivalent tier status across all three brands. Under Status Match, guests retain their benefits when sailing with any brand within the group.

According to Royal Caribbean Group, Points Choice and Status Match together create an integrated loyalty structure designed to provide consistency and continuity across its portfolio.

Under Points Choice, guests will continue earning points as they do today. Members will have up to 14 days after their sailing to decide where to apply their points, with the process managed online.

The Points Choice programme will be available on sailings departing on or after 30 January 2026.
