Delta TechOps is deepening its presence in Europe with a new long-term component care agreement with Jet2.com, the UK’s third largest airline.
Through the agreement, the Delta TechOps MRO team will provide comprehensive mechanical and avionics component services in support of Jet2.com’s fleets.
This partnership reinforces TechOps’ reputation as a trusted MRO provider for European carriers, showcasing the scale, reliability and technical depth that sets TechOps apart.
“This agreement highlights the strength of our component care expertise and the trust that Delta TechOps has earned across Europe. With decades of experience supporting different fleets, Delta brings deep technical knowledge to the Jet2.com partnership,” said Basil Papayoti, vice president of Commercial at Delta TechOps
The new contract builds on a relationship that began in 2023, when Delta TechOps first provided component maintenance support for Jet2.com.
“We’re proud to support Jet2.com as its fleet and operations continue to grow,” Papayoti said. “Our team is focused on delivering the kind of dependable maintenance and technical expertise that helps keep the Jet2.com aircraft flying safely and efficiently.”
Expertise showcased at MRO Europe
The Delta TechOps Jet2.com news was announced during MRO Europethe region’s largest aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul event. Held Oct. 14–16 in London, the event brings together industry leaders, suppliers and experts to showcase innovations, build partnerships and shape the future of aircraft support across Europe.
Delta’s technical expertise was also front and center in key industry conversations, with TechOps leaders participating in panel discussions about aging fleets and engine maintenance. A recurring theme across these panels was the integration of new technologies and approaches into MRO operations to support both legacy and next-generation platforms — a strategic priority for the Delta TechOps team.
“We continue to support a robust portfolio of legacy engine customers while expanding our capabilities for next-generation platforms,” said Christy Robinson, director of Engine Maintenance. “We’re not scaling back in our legacy shops — we continue to invest in these shops. We’re bringing legacy forward with us as we industrialize and prepare for the future.”
A legacy of excellence — and a future of innovation
Delta TechOps’ partnership with Jet2.com is the latest chapter in a story that is 25 years in the making.
Since launching third-party MRO services in 2000, TechOps has grown into one of the world’s most respected maintenance providers — serving more than 150 customers across six continents. Its European expansion reflects a strategic focus on global reliability, deep technical expertise and customer-first service.
As the aviation industry evolves, Delta TechOps remains uniquely positioned to support both legacy and next-generation fleets. From classic powerplants to the latest engine technologies, TechOps delivers unmatched versatility and depth.
Delta TechOps is the only North American MRO certified to support all three of the industry’s most advanced engine types — the CFM LEAP, Pratt & Whitney GTF and Rolls-Royce Trent families. This rare distinction underscores TechOps’ commitment to innovation, investment in technical capability, and readiness to meet the needs of modern fleets.
This momentum aligns with Delta’s 100th anniversary, a milestone that underscores the airline’s legacy of innovation and operational leadership. Together, these anniversaries mark a century of aviation excellence, and a future defined by global partnerships and growth.
