ITB Berlin 2026 will take place from 3 to 5 March 2026 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, marking the 60th anniversary of the global B2B travel event. The partnership provides Angola with a major platform to highlight its tourism potential, cultural identity and natural attractions to the international travel industry.
Angola unveils new tourism identity
As part of the announcement, Angola introduced its new destination brand: “Visit Angola – The Rhythm of Life.” Speaking on the partnership, Minister Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel said:
“We are delighted that Angola is the official host country of ITB Berlin 2026. This partnership offers a unique opportunity to showcase the country’s diversity, culture and natural beauty on one of the world’s most important platforms.”
Dirk Hoffmann of Messe Berlin added: “With its new brand identity and slogan ‘The Rhythm of Life’, Angola is sending a strong signal on the international tourism stage. It is an honour to welcome this multifaceted country as host partner for the 60th anniversary of ITB Berlin.”
Angola as an emerging African tourism destination
Angola remains one of Africa’s lesser-known destinations, with vast untouched landscapes, national parks, waterfalls, Atlantic coastline and rich cultural heritage. Speaking on behalf of the country’s tourism board, Julia Kleber, CEO of the Kleber Group, commented: “Angola inspires with its fascinating contrast of wild coasts, impressive desert landscapes, majestic waterfalls and ancient rock formations. We are proud to present Angola as a new, authentic destination in international tourism.”
As official host country, Angola will present a comprehensive programme during ITB Berlin, starting with the opening gala on 2 March 2026 at CityCube Berlin. The country will showcase cultural performances, tourism products, investment opportunities and B2B networking initiatives throughout the three-day event.
ITB Berlin marks 60 years
ITB Berlin celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026, reflecting six decades of shaping the global tourism industry. Since first being held in 1966, ITB has evolved into a global brand that now includes ITB Asia, ITB China, ITB India and, from 2026, ITB Americas.
The Angola partnership reinforces ITB Berlin’s position as a platform for tourism development and international cooperation, while spotlighting one of Africa’s emerging destinations in the global tourism landscape.
