Aeroflot increases the frequency of flights between Moscow and Istanbul. From May 23 airline will add a new evening flight, SU2170/2171, to its schedule, raising the total number of daily flights to 7.
Thus, during the peak summer season, Aeroflot will operate up to 49 flights per week between Moscow and Istanbul, which is 17% more than in the summer of 2024. This increased frequency will offer passengers more convenient connections for further flights within Russia and abroad.
In addition to flights from Sheremetyevo, Aeroflot Group flies to Istanbul from seven Russian airports. Aeroflot itself operates flights from Yekaterinburg, Rossiya Airlines flies from Saint-Petersburg and Sochi, and Pobeda Airlines operates flights from the Moscow Vnukovo, Kazan, Makhachkala, and Vladikavkaz.
Based on 2024 results, the Moscow — Istanbul route became the most popular international route in Aeroflot’s network. Over 678,000 passengers were carried on this route, which represents a 9% increase compared to the previous year.
