Located in Middle Caicos, the beach was adjudged the #1 Beach in the Caribbean in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards 2025. Last year, Bambarra Beach was voted the #2 Best Beach while Grace Bay was voted #9.
Minister of Tourism, the Hon Josephine Connolly, is ecstatic about Bambarra’s ascent to the number one position.
“This is really good news to welcome in the new year. As we continue to sell the Turks and Caicos Islands as a multi-island destination, it is very heartwarming to see our sister islands getting greater recognition. And the fact that we have two beaches in that top ten list reaffirms the Turks and Caicos Islands’ reputation for having a variety of beautiful beaches. I would like to thank all who voted and urge those who are yet to visit to put us on your travel itinerary this year,” the Minister says.
Bambarra Beach in Middle Caicos
In describing Bambarra Beach, USA Today said: “Bambarra Beach, situated on Middle Caicos, seems to stretch on forever. What this secluded beach lacks in the amenities one might expect from a resort-side Caribbean beach, it makes up for with its calm, clear, warm water, and plenty of room to spread out and relax.”
The Department of Coastal Restoration (DECR) welcomes the continued recognition as they are embarking on plans to enhance the visitor experience at Bambarra Beach.
“The DECR is happy to see the recognition of Bambarra Beach on the world stage. This is especially encouraging as the Department further invests in amenities for beachgoers while ensuring the protection of our valuable coastal areas,” said Mr. Luc Clerveaux, Director of DECR.
